Eviction for anti-social family

A family from Eastham has been issued with an eviction order due to anti-social behaviour.

Action was taken against Joanne Stokes of Mill Park Drive due to alleged anti-social behaviour including noise, foul language, threatening behaviour, verbal abuse and intimidation primarily by the tenant's 17-year old son.

On 8th January 2009, her son was issued with a final warning following his refusal to sign an Acceptable Behaviour Contract. 

At Birkenhead County Court on 25th June 25 2009, an immediate eviction order was issued against 40-year old Joanne Stokes, tenant of Wirral Partnership Homes.

Caroline Laing, Manager of Wirral's Anti-Social Behaviour Team, stated: "Anti-social behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Brian Simpson, Chief Executive of Wirral Partnership Homes, stated: "We will continue to do everything we can to protect our tenants and the wider community from unacceptable behaviour by the minority.”
