In order to allow Wirral Council to proceed with the final stages of the Thurstaston Roundabout local safety scheme involving extensive resurfacing works, it will be necessary to implement a temporary road closure.
The closure will be in place from 7pm on Friday 19th February until 6am on Monday 22nd February. Depending on progress made on the works over that time, it may be necessary to close the road again the following weekend, from 7pm on Friday 26th February to 6am on Monday 1st March.
The closure affects the busy A540 Telegraph Roadfrom its junction with Pikes Hey Road to its junction with Church Lane.
Traffic travelling northbound will be diverted via Pensby Road, Irby Road, Manor Road, Mill Hill Road, Hill Bark Road and Montgomery Hill. Traffic travelling southbound will be diverted via Montgomery Hill, Hill Bark Road, Mill Hill Road, Thingwall Road, Irby Road and Pensby Road.
