Garden waste collections suspended
There will be no garden waste collections between Monday 22 December and Friday 16 January. Collections will resume on the next scheduled day after Monday 19 January.
If your bin was put out correctly at the collection time, but has been missed, you can report it to us. Missed bins cannot be reported until after 5pm on the scheduled collection day.
A missed collection must be reported within three working days of the scheduled collection. Missed bins not reported within three working days will not be picked up until the next scheduled collection day.
Our contractor will check collection information and the CCTV footage from the vehicle. They will check if there is a valid reason your bin wasn’t emptied.
For example:
You will be told if there is a valid reason your bin was not emptied. In this case, Biffa will not return until your next scheduled collection day.
If it is too late to report your missed bin, you can also take your waste to a rubbish tip.
If your items are too big to fit in a bin, book a large item collection (also known as ERIC).
