The draft Employment Land and Premises Study is an update of the previous study, undertaken in 2017, to take account of previous consultation.
The new study aims to guide the Local Plan by understanding the anticipated demand for employment land in the Borough over the plan period as well as identifying the potential employment sites that could address this requirement.
The study:
- reviews the national and local policy and economic strategy context;
- presents a detailed analysis of the local economy drawing on an up-to-date survey of local businesses;
- reviews the national, sub-regional and local industrial and office markets;
- assesses the likely demand for employment land in the borough based on the latest growth forecasts from the Liverpool City Region, and
- reviews the quality and availability of employment land and premises in the borough, in terms of their suitability, deliverability and viability.
