Summer 2024 Household Support Fund Small Grants Programme

Following on from the successful completion of last years Household Support Fund Small Grants Programmes, community groups helping people in need can now apply for grants of up to £20,000 via this year's Household Support Fund Small Grants Programme (Summer).

Grants of up to £20,000 are now available for community-based food and welfare support providers helping local people in need this summer.

The Small Grants Programme is specifically aimed at frontline groups to help residents struggling with food costs, energy and water bills, and other essentials.

Projects which will help people in need who might not be able to access other kinds of government support are particularly encouraged to apply for the grants.

The Small Grants Programme has been supported with a total of £1,000,000 to the end of September 2024 and is part of Wirral’s Household Support Fund allocation of £3,049,345 from the Department for Work and Pensions for 6 months from April 2024, which is available to support those most in need with the cost of food, energy (heating, cooking, lighting), water bills and other essentials.
