A requirement of the Equality Duty 2010 is for the council to publish information relating to people affected by our policies and decisions. This asks:
- who accesses our services?
- what reasonable adjustments are provided to customers to access our services?
- how satisfied are customers with our services?
- what feedback do customers give us?
- what is the number and type of complaints we receive from customers?
- do we have different service outcomes for different groups of people?
Our Customer Experience Strategy will look at how we will gather and publish this information.
Understanding our population
We produce statistics about the local population. These help us to understand the different types of people that live in Wirral. They show how many people have protected characteristics.

- community organisations
- voluntary organisations
- faith organisations
- In 2022 the council hosted a summit of partners. It looked at ways to tackle the cost of living crisis in Wirral.
