Wirral Council has 66 councillors in 22 electoral wards. Each ward is represented by three councillors.
In May 2023 Wirral Council changed to a whole council election system. Elections were held for all 66 seats at the same time. Councillors serve for a term of four years.
A by-election for one seat will take place in the Liscard ward on Thursday 4 July 2024.
The next local elections for all wards are due to take place on Thursday 6 May 2027.
