This charter is a set of principles and a commitment of working together alongside People with care and support needs, their families, and Carers to ensure they remain at the heart of decision making. Stakeholders and People with care and support needs, their families and Carer are best placed to shape the services and support they receive.
We will co-produce by:
Communicating in good time and in a way that’s appropriate for everyone
Having open and honest conversations that lead to clear actions and outcomes
Supporting Each Other in developing our knowledge and skills
Seek regular feedback from people, that is constructive and honest about their experience
Demonstrating the value our work is having
Welcoming people to be meaningfully involved
Making decisions about shaping services together
Embedding co-production into everything we do
Supporting people for their input
We commit to delivering co-production using the following principles:
Trust - We will decide priorities together to find the best solutions.
Shared Understanding - We will agree on what we want to achieve, what good looks like and be mindful of everyone’s commitments.
Equal Partnership - Everyone can take part, whatever their needs or abilities. We can all learn from each other.
Creative Thinking - We will plan creatively and do things differently, working in ways which are best for people.
Communication - We will keep everyone updated and informed, being clear about what we can and can’t do and make sure our communications are accessible for everyone.
