Practice Improvement Team
The Practice Improvement Team supports Wirral's social workers to provide an improved service. We are a dedicated team that works hard to support all of our colleagues.
Our work includes:
- quality assurance
- improvement work
- training
- supporting students and newly-qualified social workers
We support staff through:
- coaching
- mentoring
- reflective spaces
- team manager and practitioner forums
We host the “Systemic Hub,” to help us move towards a more systemic way of working.
We support staff in areas like private fostering and child sexual abuse. We can also support court work and private law work.
We host regular learning and celebration events. Our social workers and family support workers use them to share good ideas. They also hear about positive feedback received for our workforce.
The team has a lot of experience and three of our team members have worked in Wirral for over 40 years each!
