If your child is excluded from school, the headteacher will tell you whether the exclusion is a 'suspension' (the number of days will be specified) or permanent exclusion (your child has been expelled) and the reasons for the suspension or permanent exclusion. You will be told how to put your views forward (representations) to the governing board (if child suspended) or told of your right to appeal (if child permanently excluded).
