Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy has arisen in the office of Councillor for the Liscard Ward of Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council due to the resignation of Councillor Daisy Kenny.
A by-election will be held to fill the vacancy once the Proper Officer has received a request for a by-election, in writing, by two local government electors within the Borough.
If requests from two local government electors are received, the date of the by-election must be set at the Returning Officer’s discretion for within 35 working days of the date of receipt of the requests.
Requests for a by-election to fill this casual vacancy must be sent to the Proper Officer, Town Hall, Mortimer Street, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 5EU
