Reasons to visit
The largest area of parkland in Wallasey, Central Park is a great place to enjoy a relaxing woodland walk. There are many sporting facilities in the park including a 12-piece fitness trail and a 1km woodland and meadow run. The walled garden is home to Everyone's café which is run by volunteers for the benefit of the park. Central Park has received the Green Flag Award.
Pump track
A pump track has banked turns and rollers that can be ridden on a bike without pedalling. It can be used with bikes, skateboards, scooters, and roller blades. Motorised vehicles, such as motorised scooters and e-bikes are not allowed on the site.
Pump tracks can be enjoyed by people of all skill levels and ages to. For example, a feature that a 5-year-old can roll through can be used as a gap jump for more advanced riders.
This video shows an example of what a pump track is, and how people can develop their skills.
Volunteering
Wallasey Central Park Partnership works in partnership with Wirral Council to ensure that the park is well maintained and preserved for future generations.
