Applications can be made online 24 hours a day. The online application allows you to upload your supporting documentation and pay the £10 fee. It can take up to 12 weeks from receipt of payment to process an application. At times, delays may be longer.
You can renew your Blue Badge up to two months before it expires. We recommend that you apply at least a month before the expiry date. You may still need to complete a full application. This is to check that you are still eligible and to make sure all your information is up to date.
You will need to set up a MyWirral account when you apply online. You can log into your account and check the progress of your application at any time.
It will normally take around 45 to 60 minutes to complete the Blue Badge application form. You can save it and come back to it again if you cannot complete it in one go.
We no longer need to see the person who the Blue Badge is for, unless they are asked to attend a mobility assessment later in the process.
